THEME SESSIONS and POSTER SESSIONS
If possible, point out the relation to Fechner's work and its significance for the field of research presented in your paper or poster.
All papers for the theme sessions are by invitation of the chairs. For most theme sessions, we already have a full list of the planned speakers. In the near future, you will also find detailed information about the theme sessions on the Fechner Day 2001 web site. This will be updated regularly with new information.
Posters are welcomed and form an important part of the meeting. If you plan to present a poster let us know the title at registration (not later than July 31st, 2001). We plan to group the posters in a similar fashion to the theme sessions, but additional topics are possible. Please, inform us about the possible topic(s) for your poster at the time of the submission of your manuscript.
The poster exhibition will be on display throughout the conference.
MANUSCRIPTS
All papers and posters will be published in the proceedings of the conference.
For the preparation and the submission of the manuscripts see Guidelines for preparation of the manuscripts.
Deadline for submission of manuscripts for the proceedings volume: August 10th, 2001.
ACCOMODATION
We strongly suggest that you stay at the Renaissance Hotel where the largest part of the ISP meeting is held (see Program) and for which we have special room rates. These are moderate for the city of Leipzig and quite good for the facilities that are available. Rooms are priced at 120,- DM for a single and 160,- DM for a double, per night.
Reservations (see Hotel Reservation Form) should be made by July 31st, 2001. The special rate is guaranteed now until July 31st, 2001. After this date, rooms will be priced at 135,- DM for a single and 180,- DM for a double, per night.
Students can get low-priced overnight accomodation. If you are interested, please email: isp_registration@uni-leipzig.de
STUDENT FUNDING
For students involved in psychophysics, the ISP will offer some grants to facilitate participation in the meeting. Until now, the ISP offered three grants. There is still a possibility that the ISP support further a few students who wish to attend the meeting and to present a poster. Students should submit an abstract of their poster to the email address of the Fechner Day 2001 isp2001@uni-leipzig.de and to the head of the Executive Committee of the ISP Douglas Vickers psyd-vic@complex.psych.adelaide.edu.au by July 31st, 2001. Those awarded travel grants will pay no annual dues or registration fee.
