Arrival by air:

The Leipzig/Halle airport is located close to the Schkeuditzer Kreuz autobahn junction (A9, A14) 18 km from Leipzig and 23 km from Halle. There are numerous direct scheduled flights to and from domestic and international destinations.

There is a regular shuttle service to Central Railway Station in the city centre (Stop: Hauptbahnhof / Endhaltestelle); A single one-way ticket costs 13,00 DM . Further information about local traffic can be found under LVB (leipzig traffic services - http://www.lvb.de)

Arrival by rail

Leipzig's central railway station is located in the city center. With long-distance, Eurocity, CityNightLine, Intercity and Interregio connections, it boasts good and rapid links from North to South and from East to West.

Arrival by road

Leipzig can be reached by the motorways, A9 (Berlin-Munich) and A14 (Magdeburg-Dresden) via an intersection close to the city. If driving on the A14 take exit No. 17 and follow the signs to "Leipzig-Zentrum"

Local municipal transport

Within the city by tram and bus

Travel in comfort" is the slogan of the Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) GmbH. There are various bus and tram lines with which you can easily reach your destination within the city. 

Due to the short distances and modern trams and buses opting for local public transport is often a convenient option.

Although renaissance-hotel is very close to central railway station you also can use transport via taxi. You will find them as yellow cars :-) around all important locations like leipzig-airport, railway-stations and at special taxi-stations. The Renaissance Hotel Leipzig is located within a short walking distance to the city center, next to the Augustusplatz.

If you arrive by car:

Follow signs to "Leipzig-Zentrum", in addition to which there appear frequent green 'hotel-signs' indicating the ''Renaissance Leipzig Hotel". From the Augustusplatz you should turn into Grimmaische Strasse / Prager Strasse and drive for 300 meters, turn left, cross the Dresdner Strasse and turn right onto the Salomonstrasse. From here, go straight ahead for 300 meters. On the left hand side you will see the Renaissance Hotel. The entrance to underground parking is directly in front of the main entrance. 

If you walk:

From the Augustusplatz you need to go East along the Grimmaische Strasse. After 200 meters you need to turn left into Querstrasse. Again after 200 meters you see the Renaissance Hotel on the right hand side of the street: Turn right (into Grosser Brockhaus Street) toward the main entrance.
